This large manufacturer had a bold aspiration to transform the way it attracted and serviced its customers. The business had made a significant investment in market research and a customer segmentation strategy.
However, functional teams were working in isolation on disjointed initiatives to try to progress the strategy. Meanwhile, the business was losing market share to other players and was under pressure from its board to demonstrate progress.
